E26d Gauges for Testing The Relative Positions of The Contacts in Lampholders 7006-29F-2

(1) The thread of each gauge is made in accordance with the maximum dimensions of the cap on a finished lamp, subject to a tolerance of + 0,0 mm; - 0,03 mm. See sheet 7004-21A.
(2) Two similar gauges are required for the test. They are referred to below as "gauge A" and "gauge B" and differ only in respect of dimension C1.
(3) Applicable to gauge A only.
(4) Applicable to gauge B only.
(5) Compliance to this dimension is not required in North America.
(6) Insulating material. All other parts metal.

PURPOSE: To check that lampholder contacts are capable of assuming simultaneously the positions corresponding to:
a) dimensions C1min. and S1max. and
b) dimensions C1max. and S1max. specified for the cap on a finished lamp.

TESTING: When gauge A and gauge B, in turn, are fully screwed home in the lampholder, the three lamps shall light in each case.
